Welcome to the Fang-Face DreamWeaver Library of personal writings.
This section of my site includes a couple of book reviews that I had written for an e-zine that was never launched because the editor-in-chief got a job, some short-short stories that were written for the Canine Classified newsletter and Bardroom, and a few pieces of poetry, both original and translated. The translations are from 18th century Scotch idiomatic English to 20th century standard English. Those were done as an exercise to further my studies of poetry. I had chosen a few of the works of Robbie Burns.
Some of the short stories have message header remnants attached. Each of those short stories were written in a moment of whimsy specifically for the echo -- or list -- indicated in the header. Most of them were posted to Bardroom echo (see the entry in the Encyclopedia), but one was posted to Writing echo.
The book reviews are very tightly written, or, at least, I like to think so. This was due to guideline contraints imposed by the e-zine that never was. The editor had set a limit of one hundred or so lines. This was an irksome limit, but good for learning how to write short and cut extraneous material. Especially for the one fiction piece I had produced for the e-zine before it wasn't launched.
If you wish to copy and forward my book reviews, feel free to do so. However, I would ask you to kindly refrain from copying my poetry and fiction. Even the translations are copyrighted in my name. If you would like to refer my site to your friends, e-mail this URL to them instead:
